Steelers signed Lafayette RB Ross Scheuerman.
Scheuerman (6'0/204) was a dynamic all-purpose weapon in the Patriot League, scoring 31 career rushing TDs, eight receiving TDs, and two TDs on kickoff returns. He averaged 5.0 yards per carry and caught 129 passes in four college seasons. Scheuerman showed good-not-great athleticism in Indy, running 4.62 with a 33-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump. With excellent hands, Scheuerman’s ceiling is probably in the Rex Burkhead range as a passing-down option with special teams value.

    Eagles waived RB Ross Scheuerman.
An UDFA out of Lafayette last year, Scheuerman bounced around the league before landing on the Packers’ practice squad in December. He should get another shot before training camp. The Eagles also cut ties with FB Ryan Mueller and LB Brandon Hepburn. The moves create enough space for Philadelphia to sign their undrafted free agent group.
