    Rays released INF Ryon Healy.
This will allow Healy the opportunity to potentially latch on with a new organization before the 2022 regular season gets underway late next week. He signed a minor league contract with Tampa Bay earlier this month after spending the 2021 campaign in the Korea Baseball Organization.

Rays signed INF Ryon Healy to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 30-year-old spent the 2021 season in the Korea Baseball Organization, but hit just .257/.306/.394 with seven homers in 67 games before getting released by the Hanwha Eagles. Healy has the ability to play both corner infield positions and has mashed at the big league level in the past, so perhaps the Rays can get something out of him in 2022.

Ryon Healy has been released by the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Healy was signed to a $1 million deal in December to join the KBO, but it didn’t go particularly well, as the former MLB player hit .257/.306/.394 with seven homers in 67 games. Healy is now free to sign with another club -- MLB or otherwise -- but his lack of success as of late likely means there won’t be many suitors.

Ryon Healy signed a $1 million contract with the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization.
The 28-year-old elected free agency in November after being sent outright to Triple-A by the Brewers. Rather than trying to secure a minor league contract this winter, he’ll look to rebuild his stock overseas. Healy saw just seven plate appearances with the Brewers in 2020, going 1-for-7 with a pair of strikeouts. He has been limited to only 194 big league plate appearances over the last two seasons.

Ryon Healy has elected to become a free agent.
Healy was outrighted off the 40-man roster over the weekend. The 28-year-old saw just seven plate appearances with the Brewers this past season and hasn’t been an above-average hitter for a couple of years now.

Brewers sent INF Ryon Healy outright to Triple-A San Antonio.
Healy actually batted cleanup for the Brewers in one of his two starts, but he finished with just one hit in seven at-bats during his time with the big club. It’s been years since the 28-year-old showed an above-average ability with the bat, and he’ll have to show well in spring training for the Brewers to consider giving him a major league job next summer.

Ryan Braun (back) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday for Game 2 of the Wild Card Series against the Dodgers.
Braun was removed from the lineup on Wednesday in the fifth inning after trying to play the back strain he picked up in Sunday’s regular season finale. In his place, Tyrone Taylor is starting in right field and hitting seventh against Clayton Kershaw. Dan Vogelbach is also out of the lineup, with Ryon Healy acting as the DH against the southpaw. The full lineup for the Brewers on Thursday: Avisail Garcia RF, Christian Yelich LF, Jedd Gyorko 1B, Healy DH, Orlando Arcia SS, Keston Hiura 2B, Taylor RF, Luis Urias 3B, Jacob Nottingham C and Brandon Woodruff on the mound.

Brewers recalled INF Ryon Healy from their alternate training site.
Healy is 1-for-6 at the plate for the Brew Crew this season. He doesn’t figure to see much, if any, action in the final days of the season.

Brewers optioned INF Ryon Healy to their alternate training site.
Healy was only up with the big club for a couple days, going 1-for-6 at the plate. The Brewers are sending him out in order to get down to 28 players on their roster.

Brewers recalled INF Ryon Healy from their alternate training site.
Healy figures to serve mostly as a backup corner infielder and bench bat for Milwaukee. The 28-year-old signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Brewers over the winter after batting just .237 with a .289 on-base percentage across 187 plate appearances last season with the Mariners.
