Raiders signed CB Shareece Wright, formerly of the Bills.
Wright broke the news himself by announcing the signing on Instagram. Oakland need bodies in the secondary after losing David Amerson, T.J. Carrie and Sean Smith this offseason. The Raiders will be Wright’s fourth team in five seasons.

Chargers CB Shareece Wright is out 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain and partial tear of an ankle ligament.
He apparently won’t be placed on injured reserve just yet. A 2011 third-round pick out of USC, Wright was coming on with a big training camp before going down in Week 1. The Chargers will be thin behind Quentin Jammer, Antoine Cason, and Marcus Gilchrist going forward. They also cut CB Greg Gatson on Monday.

Chargers CB Shareece Wright (ankle) has resumed practicing.
Wright suffered a high-ankle sprain on San Diego’s season-opening kickoff, but could be ready for snaps in the slot as early as Monday. Even if Wright isn’t ready to face the Broncos, he’ll undoubtedly be ready to roll following the Bolts’ Week 7 bye.

Chargers LCB Quentin Jammer broke his hand in Monday’s win over the Raiders.
It’s unknown if Jammer will suit up in Sunday’s game against the Titans, but it wouldn’t be the first time a corner has played through a broken hand. It’s possible Jammer will end up a game-time decision. Jammer’s most likely fill-in Shareece Wright suffered an ankle injury against Oakland. His Week 2 availability is unknown. Coming off an up-and-down game against the Patriots, Titans QB Jake Locker could be in for a very favorable matchup Sunday.

Chargers third-round CB Shareece Wright (ankle) was on crutches and in a boot Wednesday.
Wright, who won the starting nickelback job in camp, went down on the opening kickoff of his first NFL game. Marcus Gilchrist came on in his place. The good news for the Chargers is that Quentin Jammer is going to play through a broken hand this week.

The Chargers are “confident in” third-year CB Shareece Wright taking over the starting spot opposite Derek Cox.
The Bolts let both of last year’s starters -- Quentin Jammer and Antoine Cason -- go in free agency, and only signed Cox. Wright battled a high-ankle sprain and a partial tear of an ankle ligament last season, limiting him to ten games. The former third-round pick has never started a game, and he’s played just 124 defensive snaps in two seasons. San Diego is woefully thin at corner.

Ravens LCB Shareece Wright is inactive for Week 5 against the Redskins.
The Ravens said back spasms are the reason Wright is sitting, but he very well could be a healthy scratch. Wright gave up five touchdowns in his last three games. The Ravens will turn to Sheldon Price opposite Jimmy Smith, and may now be more willing to use Smith to shadow opposing No. 1 receivers. The rest of the Ravens’ Week 5 inactives are WR Chris Moore, LB Kamalei Correa, DT Willie Henry, S Marqueston Huff, LT Ronnie Stanley, and DE/OLB Matt Judon.

The Ravens expect LCB Shareece Wright (back) to return to the lineup for Week 6.
If so, it’s great news for Odell Beckham. Wright was burned relentlessly in the Ravens’ first four games before suffering back spasms Sunday morning. “His back locked up on him,” coach John Harbaugh said. The Ravens turned to rookie Tavon Young at left corner and he was dusted for a potential long touchdown bomb by DeSean Jackson, but Kirk Cousins overthrew D-Jax. Young probably didn’t do enough to take the starting job away from Wright.

    Ravens released CB Shareece Wright.
The Ravens have also released S Kendrick Lewis, creating $4.9 million in cap space. Wright was an on again/off again starter over the past two seasons as he battled a variety of minor injuries. Going on 30, he’s never been an overly effective player. The Ravens need to improve the back end of their defense.

Free agent CB Shareece Wright visited the Bills.
It’s the first interest in Wright since he was released from the Ravens last month. A part-time starter the past two years, Wright would be another flyer for Buffalo as they look to replace Stephon Gilmore.
