Check out Didier Drogba’s acrobatic goal-line clearance for Ivory Coast vs. Senegal

Drogba

The Ivory Coast sealed its place in the 2014 World Cup with a 4-2 aggregate victory over Senegal.

In the second leg, a 1-1 draw in Casablanca sealed the deal, with Salomon Kalou bagging the goal for the visitors.

But Kalou’s former Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba also had a big moment in the game, on the defensive end of all things.

The 35-year-old gave away a penalty to allow Senegal take the lead early, but he also pulled off an outstanding goal-line clearance with a bicycle kick to keep the ball out of the net and help out his goalkeeper Boubacar Barry.

Barry may have been able to reach the header to the far post, but it would have been close, and with a Senegalese striker lurking there as well, Drogba took it upon himself to clear the ball.

Didier does things in style!
