PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) -- Kosovo’s first match as a full UEFA and FIFA member is against the Faroe Islands in Germany next month.

The Kosovo Football Federation says on Saturday it is meeting the Faroe Islands on June 3 at Volksbank Stadion in Frankfurt.

The federation says in a statement, “That is a special match as Kosovo, for the first time, will play as a UEFA and FIFA member and will introduce its state symbols.”

After accepting Kosovo as a member last week, FIFA asked UEFA to find space in 2018 World Cup qualifying when it starts in September.
