It’s been 10 days since they were signed by Manchester United, but Thursday marked the first public appearance for Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind as Manchester United players.

Sat alongside their new boss Louis van Gaal, United’s two new boys interacted with the press and loan signing Falcao made one thing very clear: he is in this for the long-haul.
Falcao arrived on Deadline Day from AS Monaco on a season-long loan deal which can become a permanent $80 million transfer next summer.
United have brought in the 28-year-old predatory Colombian forward to fire them back to the top four and that’s exactly what he plans to do.
With Falcao, Blind, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria all able to start against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, United’s starting lineup could have a completely different look to it. Their other new signing Luke Shaw isn’t far away from being fit and LVG’s new-look United side is an exciting prospect. However, the rebuild will take time, players need to gel but one thing’s for sure, van Gaal believes he has a top-class striker in Falcao to score the goals the Red Devils need.
“Today he had one chance and it was in the goal. He confirmed it in his first training session,” van Gaal said of Falcao’s quality. “He’s one of the best strikers in the world. When you see his record, it’s unbelievable.”
Falcao has scored 155 goals in his last 200 games in Europe for FC Porto, Atletico Madrid and Monaco. His pedigree is exemplary and the fact that he wants to stick around after this season shows his desire to help United reach previous heights and get back to where the club believes they belong. The top.
