There’s plenty on the line today as Tottenham hosts Watford in Monday’s line Premier League action (Watch live at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and online via NBCSports.com).
Spurs sit just two points ahead of Chelsea for the final UEFA Champions League slot, and a win would overturn a three-game slide the club is on. Watford, on the other hand, sit six points above 18th place-Southampton and the drop zone, and a win would likely secure their participation in the Premier League next season.
Hugo Lloris returns to goal for Spurs with Toby Alderweireld back on the bench. Meanwhile, Andre Gray also makes his return to the starting lineup for the Hornets, who have Olivier Daucoure and Etienne Capoue, both French internationals, in the way of Tottenham’s midfield trio of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min.
Last time out, Watford drew Spurs, 1-1 at Vicarage Road. Another result like that will be a bonus to Javi Gracia’s side.
