Elston

Elston was a four-year starter at Ole Miss but went undrafted last season. He split 2016 between Cleveland and Tampa Bay’s practice squads. Elston gives Buffalo another versatile CB/S project for Sean McDermott’s defense.

Elston (5'11/193) earned second-team All-America and first-team All-SEC as a senior, finishing his career with 11 tackles for loss, 29 pass breakups, and five interceptions as a four-year starter. Elston’s Pro Day was mediocre, running 4.50 with a 9-foot-11 broad jump and sluggish agility scores. A rover linebacker and safety at Ole Miss, Elston is a ‘tweener slot corner-safety whose NFL ticket is likely on special teams.
