    Jaguars signed FB Will Ta’ufo’ou.
A 2009 undrafted free agent who’s yet to appear in an NFL game, Ta’ufo’ou will keep Maurice Jones-Drew’s roster spot warm while MJD is on the reserve/did not report list. Ta’ufo’ou might not survive first cuts.
  • FA Running Back #45
Jaguars signed FB Will Ta’ufo’ou from the team’s practice squad and waived C Steve Vallos.
With Greg Jones out with a hip injury this week, Ta’ufo’ou is being brought up as insurance. Vallos was signed earlier in the week.
  • FA Running Back #45
Jaguars signed FB Will Ta’ufo’ou off their practice squad.
Ta’ufo’ou has been doing the roster dance all season. His latest promotion is a sign that the Jags don’t expect to have Rashad Jennings (concussion) available Sunday. FB/RB Montell Owens is expected to start at tailback.
  • FA Running Back #45
Jaguars signed FB Will Ta’ufo’ou, QB John Parker Wilson, DE Ryan Davis, and DB Brandon King to reserve/future contracts.
Ta’ufo’ou spent much of the season bouncing between the practice squad and the active roster in Jacksonville. Wilson has never appeared in a regular season game despite spending some time as the No. 3 quarterback in Atlanta early in his career. King appeared in eight games with the Colts from 2010-11. All of the players will spend the offseason with the Jags and try to earn a roster spot in training camp.
  • FA Running Back #45
Jaguars re-signed exclusive rights free agent FB Will Ta’ufo’ou to a one-year, $570,000 contract.
Ta’ufo’ou played 315 offensive snaps last season and finished as Pro Football Focus’ No. 21 fullback. He’ll face competition for the job this summer.
  • FA Linebacker #50
Bears signed LB Kevin Malast, OL Johan Asiata, TE Kevin Brock, and FB Will Ta’ufo’ou to reserve/future contracts.
“Futures” signees are typically practice bodies for the offseason. Malast, a 2009 undrafted free agent from Rutgers, did look pretty good last preseason.
  • FA Running Back #45
Bears FB Will Ta’ufo’ou suffered a sprained right MCL in Saturday night’s preseason game.
While it’s better than an ACL, this could be enough to get Ta’ufo’ou bounced from consideration for a roster spot. He probably won’t be ready for Week 1.
  • FA Running Back #45
Bears placed FB Will Ta’ufo’ou (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Ta’ufo’ou sprained his right MCL in Saturday night’s preseason game against the Cardinals. He was never going to last in Mike Martz’s offense.
  • FA Running Back #45
    Bears waived FB Will Ta’ufo’ou.
Ta’ufo’ou was the only fullback on Chicago’s roster. Rookie TE Kyle Adams will now handle lead-blocking duties in two-back sets.
