Already suspended for Friday’s game against the Fever after accumulating eight technical fouls on the season, Reese’s comments in a recent interview have landed her in hot water with the Sky franchise. Due to comments lamenting the franchise’s current state and her desire to see the front office improve the roster this offseason, Reese has been suspended for the first half of Sunday’s game in Las Vegas. “I’m not settling for the same s−−− we did this year,” Reese
told the Chicago Tribune. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me. I’m willing and wanting to play with the best. And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason. So it’s going to be very, very important this offseason to make sure we attract the best of the best because we can’t settle for what we have this year.” Chicago entered Friday with a 10-30 record and has missed the postseason each of the last two seasons. Reese has been consistently productive, but the franchise has failed in its quest to compete for a playoff spot.
