Seventh-round RB Zac Brooks has reportedly shown well at Seahawks camp.
Brooks has gotten more reps with C.J. Prosise (hamstring) sidelined, and he has apparently made the most of the opportunity. “He’s had a couple of good days now, he’s a very good catcher, he has receiving in his background, as well,” coach Pete Carroll said. “He’s a versatile player and he’s made a really good first impression.” Brooks could be on the outside looking in for a roster spot in what looks like a deep group, but this good start certainly helps his chances.

Free agent RB Zac Brooks worked out for the Colts on Tuesday.
A Seahawks seventh-rounder, Brooks didn’t even survive until final cuts in Seattle. The Colts have the league’s thinnest backfield, but Brooks would remain well off the fantasy radar in Indy.

Broncos RB Zac Brooks has announced his retirement.
The No. 247 overall pick of last year’s draft, Brooks was waived by the Seahawks in August. He ended up spending most of the year on the Broncos’ practice squad. He was signed to a reserve/future contract in January. 23, Brooks had previously retired from football to pursue a career in interior design, but ultimately decided to declare for last year’s draft. His retirement will likely be final this time around.

Seahawks signed No. 247 overall pick RB Zac Brooks to a four-year contract.
Brooks had intended to quit football to focus on interior design, but he had a change of heart in January. An above-average athlete, Brooks has some developmental upside. Seattle now has their entire draft class under contract.

Seahawks drafted Clemson RB Zac Brooks with the No. 247 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
Brooks announced his intention to quit football in order to focus on interior design after the 2015 season, but he notified the league of his eligibility for the draft in January. He missed the 2014 season with a broken foot before gaining 347 total yards and scoring five total touchdowns as Wayne Gallman’s backup last season. An above-average athlete, Brooks is a long-term project for the Seahawks.
