    Saints waived TE Alize Mack.
Mack was the Saints’ No. 231 overall pick this season, and they reportedly still believe in his potential despite this transaction. The plan is for Mack to stashed on the practice sqaud, so he can develop. At the moment, the Saints only have two tight ends on the roster. That, obviously, will change.
  • FA Tight End #47
Saints selected Notre Dame TE Alize Mack with the No. 231 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Mack (6’4/249) turned pro as a redshirt junior after starting for three years in South Bend, accumulating a career 68/716/4 (10.5 YPR) receiving line. Mack helped himself at the Combine with 61st-percentile SPARQ results, running 4.7-flat with a 36-inch vertical and 10-foot broad jump. A non-factor as a blocker who was knocked for his work ethic and maturity by scouts before the draft, Mack’s ceiling is an Eric Ebron-caliber tight end with some traits that lend to seam-stretching success.
  • FA Tight End #47
Notre Dame senior TE Alize Mack declared for the 2019 Draft.
A five-star recruit out of Bishop Gorman, Mack (6’4/240) started five games as a true freshman. He was academically ineligible for all of 2016, missed time with injuries as a junior, but regained some hype in his final season (36/360/3) at Notre Dame. Mack’s measurables are near the top of a weak tight end class, potentially putting him in the Day 2 mix. Mack will attend the Senior Bowl later this month.
