Alondes Williams accounted for 25 points (9-of-11 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Pacers.
Williams is on a 10-day contract, so his opportunities to impress are limited. Give him credit for making the most of his opportunity on Friday, playing 29 minutes and recording his first career double-double. Not selected in the 2022 draft, Williams’ fingerprints were all over the Wizards’ second victory in as many games. However, even with this performance, he isn’t worth the risk in most leagues for Sunday’s game against the Hornets.
  • WAS Guard-Forward #9
Justin Champagnie (knee) will not return to Friday’s game against the Pacers.
Champagnie, who was inserted into the starting lineup for Friday’s game, was ruled out for the rest of the night toward the end of the third quarter. The Wizards’ forward finished with seven rebounds and one assist in 11 minutes, missing his lone shot attempt. Champagnie’s absence has led to more minutes for Alondes Williams.
  • ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Wizards have signed Alondes Williams ot a 10-day contract.
Williams, who played with the Heat’s Summer League outfit this past summer, makes the move up after playing for the Wizards’ G League affiliate this season. The fourth-year guard was named a G League All-Star earlier this month. While he may have opportunities to show what he can do, Williams is unlikely to have a significant impact on fantasy basketball.
  • DET Power Forward #21
According to multiple reports, the Pistons have signed Cole Swider and Alondes Williams to two-way contracts.
The Pistons were active on Saturday, signing Swider and Williams off of waivers. Both were with the Heat organization last season, with Swider going through training camp with the Pacers and Williams with the Clippers. Fantasy managers should not expect either to have an impact, so leave them on the draft board.
  • FA Shooting Guard #15
Alondes Williams finished Monday’s 120-118 overtime win over Memphis with 21 points (8-of-16 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes.
Williams, who produced the dunk of the NBA 2K25 Summer League last week, capped his time in Las Vegas with another solid showing in Monday’s championship game. And the timing was great, as he is an unrestricted free agent, and Miami has filled all three of its slots. One of the three slots is occupied by guard Dru Smith, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last November. While the Heat remain high on Smith, it’s fair to wonder if Williams’ performance in Las Vegas has kept him in the conversation. At a minimum, he may have earned an opportunity with another team once training camp rolls around.
  • MIA Shooting Guard #15
Alondes Williams signed a two-way deal with the Heat on Friday, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Williams spent time with the Heat during training camp and has been playing in the G-League this season. He will likely continue to spend most of his time with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, where he has averaged 20 points per game this season. This move won’t impact Miami’s rotation or fantasy hoops.
  • MIA Small Forward #8
Jamal Cain has agreed to return to the Heat on a two-way contract, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski announced on Friday.
Cain spent his rookie season with the Heat after going undrafted in 2022. He didn’t play much, but Miami has had a lot of success with undrafted players in the past. However, he’ll likely spend the majority of this season in the G-League. This wasn’t Miami’s only move today. They also signed Alondes Williams to an Exhibit 10 deal, so he’ll get a chance to make the Heat’s roster during training camp. Williams spent last season with the Long Island Nets, and he’ll probably be in the G-League once again this year.
  • WAS Guard #31
Alondes Williams (right adductor strain) is out for Friday’s game against the Raptors.
Williams is on a two-way contract and has yet to make his first appearance in an NBA game. He will not impact fantasy basketball.

  • WAS Guard #31
The Brooklyn Nets are signing Alondes Williams to a two-way deal, according to Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic.
Williams was the ACC Player of the Year last season at Wake Forest before going undrafted in June’s NBA Draft. He averaged 18.5 points per game with 6.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game for Wake Forest last season and showed the ability to play both guard positions. In the NBA, he will likely play more on the ball since he isn’t a great shooter, but with him being on a two-way, he likely won’t be getting much playing time in Brooklyn anyways.
