Saints signed Vanderbilt LB Anfernee Orji.
Orji (6’1/230) was a three-year starter at Vanderbilt. He took over the gig as a sophomore but posted his true, breakout campaign as a junior. In 2021, Orji notched 92 tackles and 13 TFLs. He then topped 100 total tackles as a senior. Orji showed well at the combine with a 4.53 40-yard dash that propelled him to a 9.23 RAS. He leverages his athleticism to hunt down ball carriers in the run game and make the occasional play as a pass-rusher, though it often leads to him playing with a frenetic and disoriented style. Orji will need to make a living on special teams while he hones his craft at the next level.
