    Chargers waived WR Artavis Scott.
Scott was fourth in the league in receiving yards this preseason with a 12-188-0 line while playing with the second- and third-team offenses.

Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said WR Artavis Scott has “picked up where he left off.”
“I thought Artavis was having a heck of an offseason for us last year before he got hurt,” Lynn said. “He has picked up where he left off.” The second-year UDFA was forced to miss his entire rookie campaign after injuring his ankle in the preseason but will likely start behind Travis Benjamin as the team’s fourth receiver out of camp. Scott profiles as a slot wideout, so he’ll likely be stricken to special teams barring an injury to Keenan Allen.

Chargers re-signed WR Artavis Scott to a one-year contract.
Scott, a second-year UDFA out of Clemson, injured his ankle last preseason and missed the entire year. If the Bolts let Tyrell Williams walk as a free agent, it could open up more snaps for others. Scott is more of a slot receiver.

Chargers signed Clemson WR Artavis Scott.
Scott (5’10/193) turned pro as a junior after logging a career 245/2,480/19 (10.1 YPR) receiving line at Clemson, clearing 75 catches in all three years. ACC coaches voted him second-team all-conference in 2016. Unfortunately, Scott showed brutal athleticism at the Combine with 1st-percentile SPARQ results, including 4.61 speed and a 7.19 three-cone time. Scott was a college overachiever who benefited from playing across from Mike Williams. He’d do well to carve out a career as a special teamer and situational slot option in the Jerricho Cotchery mold.
