Chiefs signed Oklahoma State CB Ashton Lampkin.
Lampkin (6’0/201) was a three-year starter and four-year contributor in the Cowboys’ secondary, logging 12 career pass breakups and five interceptions. He showed average athleticism at the Combine, running 4.54 with a 10-foot broad jump and 19 reps on the bench. Lampkin has the build and movement skills of a safety, but his lack of college dominance is a concern for his NFL transition. He’ll have to make an early impression on special teams to hang around.
