12/13/00 -- The Hyundai Team Matches, formerly known as the Diners Club Matches, get underway this weekend at the Pelican Hill Golf Club. 24 competitors, eight per Tour - playing in groups of two, are representing the LPGA Tour, PGA TOUR and Senior TOUR.
12/04/00 -- As play came to a close at the inaugural Women’s World Cup Challenge, the Australian team of Karrie Webb and Rachel Hetherington were left holding the $200,000 winners’ check.
Dottie Pepper has battled injuries this season but she’s feeling no pain now. Pepper outplayed the top 30 players on the LPGA Tour with rounds of 68-71-69-71=279 (-9) to take home the $215,000 first place check and capture the coveted season-ending championship title.

Lorie Kane shot 66 in the final round of the Mizuno Classic for a three-day total in regulation of 12-under-par (204) - then she watched and waited as Sophie Gustafson matched her to force a playoff.
For Gustafson it was a first - she had never been in a playoff before - for Kane it was a situation she was becoming more familiar with.
11/1/00 -- LPGA Tour players spend their second consecutive week on the island of Japan for the Mizuno Classic. Now in its 28th year the Mizuno Classic features a purse of $850,000 with $127,500 going to the winner.
