    Rangers released OF Bayron Lora.
Lora received a $3.9 million signing bonus from the Rangers as part of the 2019 international class and has been cut loose after being disciplined under MLB and MLBPA’s joint domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy. The 20-year-old outfielder didn’t play for the Rangers last year after spending the 2021 season with the club’s Dominican Summer League affiliate.

Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Rangers have agreed to a $3.9 million signing bonus with Dominican outfielder Bayron Lora.
The deal -- which is still pending a physical -- has been rumored for a while. Lora was one of the top available international free agents and certainly provides a boost to Texas’ farm system. He won’t turn 17 until next month.
