Eagles signed No. 67 overall pick DT Bennie Logan to a four-year contract.
Logan has been used all over the field during OTAs. He’s been a defensive tackle when the Eagles are in a 4-3, a five-technique in their 3-4 and has also seen time as a down lineman next to a standing rusher. Logan has a chance to make an impact as a rotational player this season.

Eagles selected LSU DL Bennie Logan with the No. 67 overall pick.
Logan (6-foot-2, 329) was an up-and-down “flash” player in LSU’s 4-3 defense, playing three-technique tackle between Keke Mingo and Sam Montgomery. He recorded 12.5 career tackles for loss and five sacks. Logan’s motor runs hot and cold and he lacks an elite get-off at the line of scrimmage, but he could be a strong No. 3 tackle as part of a rotation. It will be interesting to see where Logan, who is blessed with nice length, plays in the Eagles’ new three-man front. He’ll likely compete for snaps at right end and rush from the inside in the nickel.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman praised second-year NT Bennie Logan and said he has a bright future.
“He has a frame that can easily withstand 320 pounds,” Roseman said. “He’s got 34-inch arms. He has really big hands. His wingspan is actually six inches bigger than his height.” Logan, the 67th pick in last year’s draft, started the final eight games of his rookie season and was a solid run stopper despite his slender frame. He can also play five-technique in the Eagles’ 3-4 scheme.

Eagles DT Bennie Logan (calf) is active for Week 5 against the Lions.
Logan was listed as questionable and was the only player on the Eagles’ injury report. Coming out of the bye, the Eagles declared WR Bryce Treggs, S Terrence Brooks, DE Steven Means, C Josh Andrews, OT Dillon Gordon, OT Halapoulivaati Vaitai, and OG Isaac Seumalo inactive.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #96
Eagles NT Bennie Logan (groin) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Cowboys.
Logan anchors the Eagles’ run defense, so this is a big boost to Ezekiel Elliott’s stock. Despite the Eagles’ success on defense, Zeke is a locked-in RB1.

Eagles DT Bennie Logan (groin) is practicing fully for Week 10.
It’s an upgrade from last week when Logan was limited at practice. He’s on track to return Sunday versus the Falcons. Logan hasn’t played since straining his groin in Week 6.

Eagles DT Bennie Logan is week to week with a strained groin.
It is a tough blow for a run defense which is suddenly struggling. Beau Allen should see more snaps with Logan sidelined.

Eagles declared DT Bennie Logan (groin), WR Bryce Treggs, S Terrence Brooks, CB C.J. Smith, OL Josh Andrews, OL Dillon Gordon, and OL Isaac Seumalo inactive for Week 7 against the Vikings.
Logan is the only one sitting out due to injury. Beau Allen should see more snaps with Logan sidelined.

Eagles DT Bennie Logan (groin) has been downgraded to out for Week 9 against the Giants.
Logan was originally listed as questionable. It is a bit of a surprise after he got in three limited practices this week. The Eagles will be thin on the defensive line with DT Taylor Hart (ankle) was downgraded to out as well.

Eagles DT Bennie Logan (groin) is active for Week 10 against the Falcons.
Logan has been sidelined since Week 6 with a groin injury. His return comes at a great time with the Falcons in town. Logan should help solidify what has become a leaky run defense.
