Pounders had been at Triple-A Tacoma, where he was knocked around in just three appearances. He hasn’t seen any action in the majors since 2019.

Pounders appeared in seven games for the Mets after a mid-season trade with the Indians, and he posted a 6.14 ERA in seven relief appearances with the club. He’ll be a longshot to make the Rays, and likely begins -- and ends -- the 2020 season with Triple-A Durham.

The Mets acquired Pounders from the Indians back in mid-June, but he posted an ugly 6.14 ERA over seven relief appearances with the club. He’s been in Triple-A since the start of July.

Recently acquired from the Indians, Pounders posted a 6.14 ERA over seven relief appearances with the Mets. The 28-year-old will continue to provide bullpen depth in the minors.

The 28-year-old reliever has played the entire season thus far for Triple-A Columbus, registering a 2.31 ERA in 35 innings. He will presumably serve in a middle relief role for the Mets. He has pitched in 38 major league games over the past three years for the Royals, Angels and Rockies.

The 28-year-old hurler appeared in 14 games for the Rockies during the 2018 campaign, posting a troublesome 7.63 ERA and 1.76 WHIP across 15 1/3 innings. He’ll function as additional bullpen depth for the Tribe.

Pounders was pounded for 13 runs over 15 1/3 frames during his brief time with the Rockies this season. He’ll look for a minor league pact this winter.

Pounders has surrendered seven earned runs in 4 2/3 innings of relief this season at the major league level. He could get another try when rosters expand in September.

Pounders has seen just 4 2/3 innings with the Royals this season. He allowed seven runs in that space. The 25-year-old right-hander’s numbers at Triple-A are a fair bit more respectable. At the lower level, Pounders was pitching to a 3.14 ERA and 90/37 K/BB ratio across 80 1/3 frames. He figures to pitch in low-leverage situations now that he is back with the big league club.

He’ll replace Wade Davis (strained forearm) on the active roster. Pounders has split time between the bullpen and starting rotation this year, though he’ll likely be used out of the pen in Kansas City. The right-hander owns an impressive 2.80 ERA over 19 appearances for Omaha this season. This marks his first stint in the major leagues.
