    Vikings released WR Cayleb Jones.
Jones is suspended the first four games for PEDs and wouldn’t have counted against the Vikings’ roster, but this isn’t a surprise after his arrest this week. Minnesota also cut QB Peter Pujals, RB Kobe McCrary, FB Luke McNitt, WR Korey Robertson, OG Kareem Are, OL Kaleb Johnson, OT Dieugot Joseph, OL J.P. Quinn, CB Trevon Mathis, LB Mike Needham, and LB Brett Taylor.

The Philadelphia Inquirer believes UDFA WR Cayleb Jones could push for a spot on the 53-man roster.
Per beat writer Jeff McLane, Jones was “clearly the most polished” of the Eagles’ first-year wideouts during the offseason program. Not that he had much competition. Jones has a big frame (6-foot-3, 209 pounds) and long arms, but his athleticism underwhelmed at the Combine. He had trouble separating in the Pac 12. If he makes the team, it will probably be as a special teamer.

NFL suspended Vikings WR Cayleb Jones four games for violating the league’s PED policy.
It’s an untimely suspension for Jones, who was already buried on the depth chart but did survive the draft without the Vikings investing at wide receiver. It would be a surprise if Jones suited up for the Vikings at any point this year.

Vikings WR Cayleb Jones was arrested and charged with felony theft and misdemeanor domestic assault on Tuesday.
Jones isn’t long for the NFL. Already slapped with a four-game suspension earlier in the offseason for violating the league’s PEDs policy, this is just more fuel for the Vikings to cut the third-year UDFA. We’d be surprised if Jones was on the Vikings’ roster by the time the weekend rolls around.

Eagles signed Arizona WR Cayleb Jones.
Jones (6'3/209) spent two seasons at U of A after transferring from Texas, wrapping his college career with a 130-1,958-14 (15.06 YPR) receiving line. Jones’ stock took a hit at the Combine, where he ran 4.65 with a 33 1/2-inch vertical and 9-foot-4 broad jump, also managing only nine reps on the bench. Jones’ lack of separation skills shows up on tape, and he has a checkered off-field history, getting arrested for felony aggravated assault as a Texas freshman. Despite being a productive college player, Jones faces major obstacles to last as an NFL wideout.

Vikings signed WR Cayleb Jones, OT Dieugot Joseph, TE Cedrick Lang, DE Caushaud Lyons, DE Ifeadi Odenigbo, CB Horace Richardson and LB Antwione Williams to reserve/future contracts.
Jones spent all of 2017 on the Vikings’ practice squad after failing to make the team out of training camp. His younger brother is Bills receiver Zay Jones.
