    Cardinals released WR Chansi Stuckey.
Devoid of playmaking ability, Stuckey washed out as the fourth receiver in Arizona after being miscast as a slot receiver in Cleveland. The four-year veteran will have to fight for roster spot this summer, and it’s conceivable that his career has run its course at age 28.

Rookie WR Chansi Stuckey has looked “sharp” at Jets training camp.
Stuckey fell in the draft due to concerns about his long speed. He could challenge for the slot-receiver role as a rookie, although Justin McCareins will be first in line to start behind Laveranues Coles and Jerricho Cotchery.

Jets placed WR Chansi Stuckey on injured reserve with a foot injury, ending his season, and signed S Abram Elam.
Elam was a favorite of Bill Parcells in Dallas who primarily plays on special teams. Stuckey, a rookie, had a solid camp and was in the mix on returns.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Jets WR Chansi Stuckey led the Jets with four catches for 47 yards, two punt returns for 40 yards and three kickoff returns for 81 yards.
Stuckey, whose poor forty time at the combine caused him to drop to the seventh round, has locked up a spot as the Jets’ fourth or fifth receiver and special teams player.

Jets signed seventh-round pick wide receiver Chansi Stuckey to an undisclosed contract.
Stuckey had 141 catches during his four seasons at Clemson, including 50 his final year, but a disappointing 4.61 forty time weakened his draft prospects. His value with the Jets this season will likely come on special teams and on the practice field.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Going into Jets training camp, Chansi Stuckey is the favorite to start opposite Jerricho Cotchery.
Brad Smith will likely handle third receiver duties. David Clowney has the most fantasy potential of the candidates, but he may have slipped in the coaches’ eyes after showing inconsistent hands during OTAs. That was also a problem for Clowney during his brief stint with the Packers in 2006.
  • FA Wide Receiver
David Clowney ran as the Jets’ starting split end at Thursday’s OTA practice, ahead of Brad Smith.
Chansi Stuckey was in the slot in three-wide sets. Jerricho Cotchery is the flanker. Clowney lacks Smith’s experience, but has far more deep threat potential. We still think Dustin Keller is really the Jets’ No. 2 receiver.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Chansi Stuckey would be the Jets’ starting wideout opposite Jerricho Cotchery if the season began today, according to the NY Daily News.
Last we checked David Clowney was running as the Jets’ No. 1 split end, but beat writer Rich Cimini apparently thinks the coaching staff would defer to Stuckey’s experience. We do expect improvement from Stuckey, but he’ll work mostly out of the slot. Brad Smith is looking like a fourth receiver.

Jets coach Rex Ryan confirmed that Chansi Stuckey is the leader for the No. 2 wide receiver job.
“He’s there (No. 2) right now,” Ryan said. “Stuckey is the guy who really stood out. He made some great catches, got open a lot and has been having a great camp.” Even with the potential promotion, Stuckey’s fantasy value is limited by a likely rookie quarterback in a run-first offense.
