Lion WR Charles Rogers breaks collarbone again.
Rogers broke his collarbone for a second straight year Sunday and might miss most of the season.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Charles Rogers has been practicing with the Lions during their off-season workouts.
Fellow 2003 rookie Artose Pinner is also healthy and in attendance. Rogers isn’t participating in scrimmages but is running routes, lifting, etc. He should be ready for his second season.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Charles Rogers could participate in his first scrimmage workouts since injuring his collarbone last season.
Rogers will wear a pad to protect the injury. There is a chance the Lions could limit him, but it’s a good sign that his rehab is going as planned.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Charles Rogers caught 3 passes for 56 yards in his return to game action.
Rogers missed most of last season with a broken collarbone. But he looked fearless Saturday night, making one great diving catch. Considering he barely played Saturday night, his numbers are impressive.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Wide receiver Charles Rogers has been working out in Florida in his recovery from a broken right collarbone.
The rookie wideout only played five games, but should be close to fully recovered by April mini-camp.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Charles Rogers caught two passes for 45 yards, including a 29-yard touchdown Saturday.
He made a nice adjustment on a poorly thrown deep ball by Jeff Garcia. Mike Williams isn’t challenging for a starting job and Rogers’ collarbone has held up, so his draft stock his rising.

Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press reports former Lions WR Charles Rogers has died at 38.
Rogers was battling cancer and was also in need of a liver transplant. A prolific college performer at Michigan State (his 27 career receiving touchdowns still stands as a school record), Rogers never measured up in the pros, failing to live up to expectations after being drafted second overall in 2003. The Lions let him go two years later citing substance abuse issues. The former Spartan also battled injuries during his short time with the Lions, fracturing his clavicle in each of his first two seasons. Even if his NFL career was largely forgettable, Rogers was still an immense talent during his prime, particularly on the college level. He’ll be missed.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Charles Rogers was included in practice Thursday, but not during the team’s two-minute drills.
It’s the second straight day where Rogers wasn’t included in a three-team rotation. Either the Lions are really trying to push Chuck’s buttons or he’s not making the team.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Charles Rogers ran with the Lions’ second-team offense Friday night.
Rogers had one catch for seven yards in the second quarter. Third-teamer Mike Williams caught a 24-yard pass from Josh McCown in the third quarter.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Charles Rogers and Mike Williams are reportedly competing for the same roster spot.
Though Rogers appeared earlier in last night’s game, Mike Williams is likely the heavy favorite to win Detroit’s last wide receiver job. Both players caught one ball Friday night.
