Boyd loses his roster spot to newly signed A.J. Jenkins. Boyd, who went undrafted out of Vandy last year, is a developmental prospect that has a good chance to land on his feet. He’s 6-foot-4 and flashed some NFL-caliber ability as a true freshman and sophomore in the SEC, compiling 81 catches for 1,247 yards (15.4 YPR) and 13 scores.

Boyd (6-foot-4, 206) was kicked off Vandy’s football team prior to the 2013 season after being arrested on an aggravated rape charge. He later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor. As a true freshman and sophomore, Boyd compiled 81 catches for 1,247 yards (15.4 YPR) and 13 scores. Although Boyd displayed NFL-caliber traits as an early-career collegiate, the off-field red flag combined with a 4.73 forty time at the Combine and 12 bench reps torpedoed his stock. He’s a talented long shot.
