It’s fallout from the Brian Cushing injury. Ruud will bring seven years of experience and 77 starts as a middle linebacker to the Texans’ suddenly shaky linebacking corps. He’ll back up starters Tim Dobbins and Bradie James.

A former UDFA out of Illinois State, White appeared in one game last season, blocking on special teams. He probably wasn’t going to make the roster.
