Fordham received some discouraging news on Monday as freshman guard Eric Paschall, the Atlantic 10’s Rookie of the Year, has received permission to speak to other schools.
The 6-foot-6 Paschall averaged a team-leading 15.9 points per game and also grabbed 5.5 rebounds a contest. He announced the latest in his recruitment on Twitter and also said that the Rams were still in the mix.

According to a report from Josh Thomson of Iohud.com, Paschall will explore a few other options. Paschall’s dad, Juan, spoke about the recruitment of his son in the report.
“There are two or three that he’s really interested in — schools he knows,” Juan Paschall said to Thomson. “I know some of those coaches. I know what they’re about. Now it’s just a matter of us visiting those schools.”
With head coach Tom Pecora getting fired, Paschall would be wise to look at all of his options to continue his career. With three years of eligibility left, Paschall could be a hot commodity in recruiting this spring.
