Villanova remained the top team in this week’s Coaches Poll for the second straight week, racking up 25 of the 32 available first place votes.
It provided a bit of consensus after a week where there was none, and that’s mostly due to the fact that seven of last week’s top ten teams took a loss.
Kansas, with a win at Oklahoma, jumped up to No. 2 in the polls with the remaining seven first place votes. I wonder how people would view both Kansas and Oklahoma if Khadeem Lattin had hit a free throw to beat the Jayhawks in Phog Allen Fieldhouse or if Buddy Hield’s free throw had forced overtime in Norman over the weekend.
