Georgia State won the Sun Belt tournament title on Sunday afternoon, beating Georgia Southern 38-36 in New Orleans.
After the game, as head coach Ron Hunter celebrated the win with his son R.J., the team’s star guard, the elder Hunter went down in a heap, an injury that a Georgia State spokesman confirmed to NBCSports.com as a torn achilles.
Here’s a picture of that moment:
The injury didn’t keep Hunter from cutting down a net, however:

Hunter will wait until after the NCAA tournament to get surgery on the injury.
