Colorado EDGE Carson Wells had a strong pro day after being snubbed by the NFL Scouting Combine.
Wells (6'4/250) totaled 137 tackles, 68 pressures and 17 sacks during his four seasons at Colorado, totaling six sacks in each of his last two seasons. Now trying to make up for a lost combine, Wells had to show his best self at Colorado’s pro day. Wells ran a 4.56 40-yard dash, while posting 16 bench reps and a 35-inch vertical leap. His 7.11 three-cone drill would have ranked amongst the best performances for either linebackers or defensive ends.

Colorado senior LB Carson Wells has declared for the NFL Draft.
Wells (6'4"/245) has been a disruptive force for the Buffaloes, racking up tackles for loss like candy. According to Sports-Reference.com, Wells had 16 TFLs in six games in 2020, and he followed that up with 13.5 more in 2021. He also scored a touchdown this year on an interception. Wells definitely has a shot to get drafted in the later rounds as a pass rushing specialist.

Colorado redshirt sophomore LB Carson Wells (concussion) is day-to-day.
Wells (6'4/250) was unable to take the field in Saturday’s loss to Air Force due to concussion symptoms and remains up in the air for this coming weekend’s showdown with Arizona State. Should Wells prove unable to make the field versus ASU, Nu’umotu Falo could see increased playing time upcoming.
