USC redshirt junior CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart has declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Taylor-Stuart (6'2/200) wraps up his career at USC with two career interceptions and seven career pass breakups according to Pro Football Focus. A tall cornerback with good size, Taylor-Stuart started in 10 of 11 games played this season, totaling 42 tackles, two quarterback pressures and one sack while also recording one of his two career interceptions. According to PFF.com, Taylor-Stuart was targeted on 38 passes this season and allowed 26 receptions for 440 yards and three touchdowns, with quarterbacks averaging a 122.7 QB Rating against him. The former five-star recruit allowed 10 total touchdowns on 87 targets in his career with the Trojans, while giving up 15.5 yards per reception.

  • USC redshirt freshman CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart said that he is “100% percent staying” at USC amidst rumors of his dissatisfaction with the program.

Rumors had been swirling that Taylor-Stuart (6'2/205) was not happy with USC due to his rotation-based playing time in 2019. The rumors seem to be nothing more than that, though, as Taylor-Stuart reiterated his intention to stay at USC until he eventually goes to the NFL. Taylor-Stuart also stressed that there was no real frustration with his role in 2019 and that he understands patience is part of the process.
  • USC redshirt freshman DB Isaac Taylor-Stuart is getting his left ankle re-taped on the sideline, according to Shotgun Spratling of the Los Angeles Times.

Updating an earlier post, Taylor-Stuart (6'2/205) had his left ankle re-taped after spending some time in the injury tent. He was most recently seen attempting to test out his injured ankle, so we’ll see if he’s healthy enough to return to action.
  • USC redshirt freshman DB Isaac Taylor-Stuart limped off the field during the second quarter of Saturday’s game at Notre Dame after suffering an apparent lower body injury.

According to Shotgun Spratling of the Los Angeles Times Taylor-Stuart (6'2/205) appeared to have his leg buckle on him while being blocked by a Notre Dame wide receiver. After spending some time down on the field, the redshirt freshman limped back to the USC injury tent for further evaluation. Taylor-Stuart had his best game as a Trojan in the team’s most recent outing, as he accounted for six total tackles (one for loss) in the team’s September 28 loss at Washington.
  • USC redshirt freshman CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart will not play on Friday against Utah due to a concussion.

Taylor-Stuart (6'2/205) is one of the better cover corners on the USC roster, but he won’t be able to go on Friday in the marquee matchup against Utah. In his place, freshman CB Chris Steele will start against the Utes.
  • USC redshirt freshman CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart missed Thursday’s practice due to what was described as a minor groin injury by HC Clay Helton.

Taylor-Stuart (6'2/205) appeared in four games last season before an ankle sprain suffered ahead of the Colorado matchup opened the door for him to be redshirted. The redshirt freshman corner is in line to be a starter, as he’d been working with the first-team defense prior to the groin injury. With Taylor-Stuart out freshman Chris Steele, a transfer from Florida who was granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA, saw some action with the first unit.
  • Four-star 2018 S Isaac Taylor-Stuart received an offer from Alabama.

“I never really thought they would have offered me,” Taylor-Stuart said. “When I was talking to coach Saban he introduced himself and his football program and talked about how really successful it has been the last 4-5 years.” The 6-foot-2, 177-pounder is keen on Alabama’s ability to transition players into the NFL -- Bama and Ohio State consistently draw this piece of praise from high school recruits. USC and UCLA have also forwarded offers to California native Taylor-Stuart.
  • Uncommitted four-star 2018 S Isaac Taylor-Stuart indicated that Washington’s success in 2016 could play into his recruitment.

"[Their run to the Playoff] definitely makes me want to take a visit there, and learn more about Washington,” said Taylor-Stuart. The 6-foot-2, 177-pounder ranks as ESPN’s No. 108 overall prospect in the 2018 cycle, with the outlet noting that he is a "[h]eady player with high football IQ who consistently gets in the right position.” In addition to Washington, Taylor-Stuart has received offers from such heavy hitters as Alabama, Michigan, LSU and Penn State.
  • Rivals recruiting director Mike Farrell writes that uncommitted four-star 2018 S Isaac Taylor-Stuart “showed off the best straight-line speed and looked like he had rockets on his back” during the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge.

No surprise, here, as Taylor-Stuart has been clocked in the vicinity of 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash. The 6-foot-2, 177-pound speed merchant from San Diego ranks as Rivals’ No. 27 overall prospect for the 2018 cycle. He is considering offers from the likes of Alabama, Cal, Michigan, USC and Oregon.

Beyond the wheels, he offers a high level of football intelligence and rarely finds himself out of position on the field. Rivals ranks him as the No. 27 overall prospect for the 2018 cycle.
