Former Utah State freshman DB Jakob Robinson transferred to BYU.
Robinson (5'10/165) is a three-star prospect who was rated as the 219th best cornerback and 20th overall recruit in the state of Utah from the 2020 freshman class. The slightly built corner saw action in three games this year, registering 57 snaps and 7 tackles against Fresno State along with 24 snaps 3 tackles and a sack against New Mexico. The promising DB earned a rock solid 85.1 tackling grade and a still respectable 66.1 coverage grade according to PFF. Robinson flashed major potential during his first year of collegiate football and could be an instant contributor for the Cougars.
