Bears signed WR John Jackson to their practice squad
Johnson was with the team during the offseason and training camp but was one of the final cuts. The 25-year-old will come back with the team and take the spot of EDGE Jamree Kromah, who was signed to the Patriots 53-man roster.

Uncommitted three-star 2018 WR John Jackson said that Oregon is “one of the big guys.”
“They’re stepping up and saying, ‘We’re here,’” Jackson said. He has Pac-12 connections in the family -- though not with the Ducks. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder’s father attended USC, while his mother attended UCLA. Stanford, Cal and Tennessee will all be receiving visits from Jackson, who is also kicking around a possible visit to Louisville. Rivals ranks him as the No. 37 “athlete” in the country, while Scout.com (who views him exclusively as a receiver) tags Jackson as the No. 17 wideout in the state of California.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #82
USC signed previously uncommitted three-star 2018 WR John Jackson in February.
Jackson finished as the 95th ranked wide receiver on 247 Sports composite list, and he had offers from Oregon, Nebraska, UCLA and several other high-profile schools. Reports indicate he’ll need to get stronger to play at the Pac-12 level, but he has the speed and ability to make people miss to be an impact player someday for the Trojans.
