Former Wake Forest redshirt freshman OL Mike Edwards transferred to Campbell in May.
Campbell was a three-star recruit by the Demon Deacons that ended up being medically disqualified from Wake Forest after a slew of injuries during their camp. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive lineman will get a new chance with the Fighting Camels -- among the best names in sports, do not @ us -- and has four years of eligibility that begin right away since he moves to an FCS school.

Wake Forest redshirt freshman OL Mike Edwards entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Edwards (6'6/330) missed almost all of fall camp with a slew of undisclosed injuries. By November, he was medically disqualified from playing at Wake Forest. Whatever the injuries may be, they seem career-threatening to Edwards, as he will need to find a school that will medically clear him to continue playing, according to Les Johns of 247 Sports. However, Edwards is reportedly free to continue his education at Wake Forest in the event that he can not find a new school to medically clear him.
