Nathan Carter rushed seven times for 46 yards and a fumble in the Falcons’ Week 3 loss to the Panthers.
Carter came into the game late with the Falcons already down big towards the end of the fourth quarter. He handled seven carries for 46 yards, but fumbled on his final touch of the game. It was the undrafted rookie’s first NFL action on offense, and though the fumble was not a great way to end the day, he was efficient on the ground.

UConn freshman RB Nathan Carter rushed 13 times for 77 yards and a touchdown in a 49-17 loss to Central Florida on Saturday afternoon.
There wasn’t a lot to like for the Huskies today, but Carter (5'9/194) was a bright spot. He was the most consistent performer, scoring the first points for the Huskies and even netting 47 receiving yards on only two catches. It has been a successful freshman season for Carter who topped 500 yards on the season and had his first game over 100 total yards since the game against UMass on October 9th. Carter looks to finish out his freshman season next Saturday against Houston.

UConn freshman RB Nathan Carter carried the ball 20 times for 136 yards in UConn’s 27-13 loss to UMass.
Carter (5'9"/194) continues to be the lone bright spot on this UConn team that just might be the worst in the FBS. Carter has gone over 120 yards in two straight games now. Carter started hot with a 30 yard rush followed by a ten yard gain on his second and third runs that led to the Huskies only score of the game, but three UConn turnovers and UMass’ power run game ate up clock so there was only so much Carter could do. UConn really looks like they have something in Carter though, and that’s encouraging for the future.

UConn freshman RB Nathan Carter ran for 123 yards on 24 carries in a 30-28 loss on Saturday to Vanderbilt.
This is very much a lost season for the Huskies, but the ply of Carter (5'9/194) is a positive development for the future. The true freshman tailback followed up a 10-carry, 65-yard effort with his first game over the century mark, and at times, he looked like the best player on the field -- at least for Connecticut. Walker will likely be looking at a large workload next week against lowly UMass.
