A&M suspends Speedy Noil for bowl game after weed arrest

Is this the part of the program where someone would say something along the lines of “Weedy Noil likes to smoke bowls but not play in them” and quickly move on?

Regardless, Speedy Noil has, once again, been suspended, with this latest suspension coming not long after he was arrested on a marijuana possession charge. This is the second straight year the wide receiver will miss Texas A&M’s bowl game because of a suspension.

The junior was arrested Friday after someone called police with a noise complaint. According to the Associated Press, the officers responding to the call “said they smelled marijuana and when he refused to allow them inside, they obtained a warrant and found the drugs.”

This is Noil’s second arrest and third suspension in a little over 13 months. Additionally, the receiver took some time off from football in the spring of 2015 “to do some things.”

This season, Noil was third on the team in receptions (21), receiving yards (325) and receiving touchdowns (two). He also returned five punts for 104 yards and scored a pair of rushing touchdowns.
