Back when I was in high school I played Madden on a Super Nintendo on a 20-inch tube television. Today, Auburn recruits are getting chances to play the latest iteration of the long-running NFL video game on one of the biggest TVs in the world, Auburn’s video scoreboard.
Auburn’s scoreboard in Jordan Hare-Stadium is the largest of its kind in the college football world, so why not put it to good use on the recruiting trail? That is exactly what the Tigers did last night as a group of recruits made an official visit to the campus.

Those paying extra close attention will note somebody chose to play as the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers, of course, are the top team in the NFC playoffs and are led by Auburn’s most recent Heisman Trophy winner, quarterback Cam Newton. This was certainly no coincidence.
Of course, Auburn recruits can’t play NCAA Football on the big screen... yet.
