Brawlunteer Myles pleads guilty to resisting arrest

Former Volunteer defensive back Darren Myles Jr. has pleaded guilty to local prosecutors on charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest. As a result, the charges from his April 18th arrest outside a Knoxville nightclub have been dropped.

Additionally, Myles pleaded guilty to evading and resisting arrest following the infamous Rumble in the Knox that involved several Vol teammates.

“I regret my poor decisions that I made while I was at the University of Tennessee. I am sorry, and I realize that my choices affected and continue to affect my former teammates, coach (Derek Dooley), the university and the fans on many levels,” Myles said in a statement read by his lawyer, Don Bosch.

Coach Derek Dooley promptly kicked Myles off the team following the second arrest in July and the freshman is currently looking to transfer to another school.

We hear Houston Nutt is looking.
