Just five days ahead of a huge conference showdown against Alabama, there was some concern that Florida would be without their leading rusher due to an injury suffered in Saturday’s win over Kentucky.
While it’s not written in stone that Jeff Demps will be available, it’s appearing more and more likely he will.
X-rays performed on Demps’ revealed no broken bones in Demps’ injured foot and he’s merely suffered from a bone bruise. Urban Meyer seems to be confident in Demps’ availability for the Tide game, saying “I think we’re going to have Demps.”
Demps’ 367 yards rushing is far and away the top total on the Gators. He also has 11 receptions, which is tied for second on the team.
