Thoughts and prayers are bouncing off the vast expanses of the Internet for a playing member of the Texas Tech football program.
Lubbock NBC affiliate KCBD is reporting Wednesday afternoon that long-snapper Kyle Heffron sustained serious injuries in a single-car accident earlier in the day. Police told the television station that Heffron was ejected from the white pickup truck he was driving after it slammed into an underpass.
There were no details available as to the exact nature of the injuries.
The good news, however, is that, per the station, Heffron is currently listed in satisfactory condition at a local hospital. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury was scheduled to appear along with other Big 12 coaches at the so-called “ESPN car wash” but was described as a late cancellation.
Was told by Texas Tech official that HC Kliff Kingsbury will issue a statement regarding Kyle Heffron sometime today. Still in ER.
