Texas Tech RB suspended for second time in three games

Texas Tech running back Ronnie Daniels has been suspended for this weekend’s game against Nevada, a Tech spokesperson told the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal today. The reason for the suspension is the classic “violation of team rules”.

Daniels, a freshman, was not on the dress list released Thursday.

Last week against New Mexico, Daniels -- also a New Mexico native -- rushed nine times for 43 yards and a score.

Daniels was also suspended for Tech’s season-opening game against Texas State. The school spokesperson didn’t clarify how long Daniels would be out with his most recent suspension.

Fellow freshman Kenny Williams could see more playing time tomorrow because of the suspension.
