Chiefs DT Omarr Norman-Lott suffered a torn ACL in Week 7’s win over the Raiders and is out for the season.
Norman-Lott exited in the third quarter of Sunday’s game. He remained down on the field for several minutes before eventually being helped to the sideline by teammates, but now the rookie second-rounder will set his sights to a return in 2026. Norman-Lott appeared in five games for the Chiefs this season, totaling five tackles, one sack, and one TFL. Assuming his recovery goes as planned, he should be ready to go around the time training camp starts up.

Chiefs selected Tennessee DT Omarr Norman-Lott with the No. 63 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Norman-Lott (6’2/291) spent his first three seasons at Arizona State before moving across the country to become Tennessee’s passing down interior pressure specialist. Last year he led all defensive tackles with a 12.9% PRP and 18.9% win percentage despite logging just 225 snaps as a rotational lineman. He could stand to clean up his tackling form with a concerning 33.3% missed tackle rate that will not stand at the NFL level. His compact frame allows Norman-Lott to extend his 33.3/4” arms and huge 10 ¾” under blockers’ pads and establish the leverage advantage. He is extremely elusive on the rush, varying his tempo and frequently using a shoulder shake that makes it difficult for blockers to land punches on him. Norman-Lott fires off the ball and flows down the line of scrimmage well, but his core competency is clearly his pass rushing acumen and diverse moveset. While Norman-Lott has NFL caliber twitch, he is a bit undersized and is probably pegged for situational sub-package work. He’s a developmental prospect for a Chiefs team seeking upside.

Arizona State freshman DL Omarr Norman-Lott (undisclosed) is battling an injury and is not yet 100%, per DC Marvin Lewis.
Like teammate Amiri Johnson, it is not clear what is going on with Norman-Lott on the injury front. Whatever it is, though, Lewis says the freshman DL still is not quite ready to go at full speed. He did say Norman-Lott (6'3/305) will factor into the lineup once he gets cleared, though, so Sun Devils fans can look forward to that. Norman-Lott was a four-star recruit in Arizona State’s 2020 signing class and is expected to contribute sooner rather than later.

Uncommitted four-star 2020 DT Omarr Norman-Lott took an official visit to Arizona State over the weekend.
In addition to ASU, Texas A&M, Oregon State, USC and Arizona are programs which have made a nice impression on the 6-foot-2, 295-pound Norman-Lott. He has an official visit set up with USC for Nov. 22, but otherwise has no other officials currently scheduled for the fall. Norman-Lott’s current plan is to announce his pledge a short time after that USC trip before signing during the early December window. Arizona State should be viewed as the lead contender, here, as the Sacramento native is the nephew of ASU DL coach Jamar Cain. Norman-Lott actually served as ring bearer at Cain’s wedding when he was a child. 247Sports ranks Norman-Lott as the No. 329 overall prospect in the 2020 class.

Arizona State signed four-star 2020 DT Omarr Norman-Lott.
Norman-Lott (6'2/295) was also very intrigued by USC, whom he took an official visit to near the end of November. No such luck on a signing for the Trojans, though. The Sacramento native is all kinds of strong and aggressive, but could use work with his technical bonafides with the step-up in athletic competition set to come his way in the Pac-12. On the 247Sports composite board, Norman-Lott ranks as the No. 29 prospect in the state of California for the 2020 cycle.
