Bengals signed QB Reid Sinnett to the team’s practice squad.

It’s a noteworthy move after the Patriots claimed QB Will Grier off the Bengals’ practice squad this week. Joe Burrow is iffy to play Monday night against the Rams after re-injuring his calf in Week 2. Jake Browning would start for Cincinnati if Burrow can’t go, and Sinnett would serve as the team’s backup. The bleakness knows no bounds for the down-bad Bengals.

San Diego redshirt senior QB Reid Sinnett has accepted an invitation to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Sinnett (6'4/225) was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award, which is annually given to the best player at the FCS level. The redshirt senior, who finished 11th in the voting, threw for 3,528 yards and 32 touchdowns with ten interceptions, while also rushing for 173 yards and six more scores on 63 carries. The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl represents a good opportunity for Sinnett, as he’ll be able to compete with and against some of the top college players in the country.
