UCLA received a verbal commitment from four-star 2018 DT Tyler Manoa.
Manoa (6'5/260) opted to throw his lot in with the Bruins after HC Chip Kelly paid a visit to the Mountain View, California, native’s high school. On the 247Sports composite board, he slots in as the No. 26 defensive tackle prospect in the 2018 class. Should Manoa have a late change of heart prior to National Signing Day, Utah and Oregon would be the two programs to watch in terms of a potential flip. As matters currently stand, UCLA is up to 21 recruits for the cycle and currently sits at a very respectable No. 16 on the Rivals team rankings board -- and that’s despite the fact that the team overhauled its coaching staff when it brought on Kelly after canning Jim Mora in November.
