Parms spent last season on injured reserve (shoulder), but he’s being viewed as a depth piece and special teamer going into the 2019 season.

He was a tryout candidate at rookie camp. Undrafted out of Florida Atlantic, the 24-year-old will try to carve out a role on special teams.

Parms (6'1/201) played special teams and strong safety for the Owls, piling up 11.5 career TFLs, three forced fumbles, and an interception as a full-time starter for two seasons. He ran 4.59/4.61 at the FAU Pro Day with a 36-inch vertical and 10-foot-4 broad jump. Parms is too stiff-hipped to man center field in the pros, but fills aggressively in the box and could push for snaps as a tone setter down the line. He’ll open his career covering kickoffs and punts.
