Raiders signed DL Damion Square from the Bears’ practice squad.
Las Vegas needed additional assistance on the defensive line after Gerald McCoy’s injury on Monday night. Square spent the six seasons prior to 2021 with the Chargers and played five snaps for Chicago in Week 1. He figures to slot in as a depth piece on a Raiders defense that badly needs help.

    Saints signed DL Damion Square.
The Browns cut Square last week after signing him in May. The 32-year-old lineman spent the past six seasons with the Chargers, recording 24 starts over that span. If he makes the roster, he figures to slot in as a depth piece in the trenches.

Browns cut DL Damion Square, who they signed in May.
Cleveland also signed WR JoJo Ward in a corresponding move. The Browns just added Square in May. The 32-year-old spent the past six seasons with the Chargers, recording 24 starts over that span. He’ll be on the hunt for a new home with just under one month until the season.

Browns signed DT Damion Square, formerly of the Chargers.
Square has been active for all 32 games over the past two seasons but has earned just five starts. He has one sack and one tackle for loss over that span. Square isn’t a lock to make Cleveland’s final roster and will serve as a rotational player if he does sneak onto the final 53.

    Chargers re-signed DT Damion Square.
The 31-year-old former UDFA appeared in all 16 games last season, making four starts and getting in on 41% of the snaps. After recording three sacks in 2018, Square didn’t have any in 2019 and made just one tackle for loss. He’s merely a rotational big body, and this will be his seventh year with the Bolts should he make the squad.

    Chargers re-signed DL Damion Square.
Square ended up starting 11 games last season, but he has been a rotational lineman for most of his time with the Chargers. That should be his role this year.

Undrafted rookie DL Damion Square is the “lead horse” for a roster spot among the Eagles’ UDFA crop.
Square (6-foot-2, 293) was productive in Alabama’s 3-4 defense, but went undrafted due to his size. “Only question you’re going to have is, is he big enough for a two-gap [system]?” an anonymous scout said. “But when you put him on tape, the kid plays his [tail] off. He has a phenomenal motor. He’s a guy that has really mastered all the technical aspects of the game.” Aside from Fletcher Cox, Philly is weak on the defensive line. Square could have a shot at meaningful snaps if he makes the team.

Eagles signed Alabama DL Damion Square.
Square (6-foot-2, 293) primarily played end in the Crimson Tide’s 3-4 defense, but kicked to nose tackle in pass-rushing situations. He made 32 career starts, compiling 18.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. Square is versatile and scheme diverse enough to develop into a Ricky Jean-Francois type swiss-army-knife lineman.

NFL suspended Chargers DT Damion Square four games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
He’ll be eligible to return against the Raiders in Week 5. Square missed a drug test, which has the same effect as if he had tested positive. The third-year defensive lineman appeared in six games for the Chargers after being claimed off waivers from Philadelphia in November.

Chargers re-signed DL Damion Square to a two-year contract.
Square started the final six games in place of Brandon Mebane last year. He’ll return as a rotational lineman. Square should see most his snaps inside of Gus Bradley’s 4-3 scheme.
