Twins signed RHP Daniel Gossett to a minor league contract.
Gossett recorded a serviceable 4.22 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 81/46 K/BB ratio a cross 98 innings (20 appearances, 18 starts) for Triple-A Worcester in the Red Sox’ minor-league system last year. The 29-year-old righty hasn’t appeared in the majors since he made 23 appearances with the Athletics over a two-year span from 2017 to 2018. He’ll offer the Twins some additional organizational pitching depth this season.

Red Sox signed RHP Daniel Gossett to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Gossett underwent Tommy John surgery in August of 2018 and was released by the Athletics last July. However, he’s back to full health now and should be ready to compete for a job in the spring. The 28-year-old holds a 5.91 ERA and 84/39 K/BB ratio over his 115 2/3 innings at the major level level.

    Athletics released RHP Daniel Gossett.
Gossett was removed from the 40-man roster just before Opening Day. The right-hander owns a career 5.91 ERA and 84/39 K/BB ratio over his 115 2/3 innings at the highest level. He underwent Tommy John surgery in August of 2018, but his next pitch in the majors will come with a new team. That probably won’t happen in 2020.

Athletics designated RHP Daniel Gossett for assignment.
This move opens up a 40-man roster spot as the A’s prepare their depth chart for Opening Day. Gossett, 27, holds a 5.91 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, and 84/39 K/BB ratio in 115 2/3 career innings at the major league level. He required Tommy John surgery in August 2018 but should be mostly healthy now and may find a new team on waivers.

Daniel Gossett (elbow) will throw live batting practice Friday.
It will be his first time facing hitters since last August’s Tommy John surgery. Gossett doesn’t figure to be game-ready until 2020.

Daniel Gossett (elbow) is throwing at a distance of 120 feet.
Gossett is making steady progress from Tommy John surgery but remains doubtful to pitch at the major league level in 2019. He was already placed on the injured list back in mid-February.

Athletics placed RHP Daniel Gossett on the 60-day injured list with a right elbow injury.
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the arrival of Robbie Grossman. Gossett will miss most, if not all, of 2019 while recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Athletics activated RHP Daniel Gossett from the 60-day disabled list.
It’s a procedural move that puts him back on the 40-man roster. Gossett had Tommy John surgery in early August and won’t be back until late in the 2019 season at the earliest.

Daniel Gossett delivered two innings of scoreless ball Sunday in his Cactus League debut against the Angels.
Gossett issued a two-out walk in the first inning and a leadoff walk in the second, but no runner got beyond first base during those opening frames. The second-round pick from 2014 put up an impressive 2.69 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 151/41 K/BB ratio in 153 2/3 innings last season between High-A Stockton, Double-A Midland, and Triple-A Nashville. He’s on track to make his MLB debut sometime in 2017.

Daniel Gossett surrendered seven runs -- six earned -- over 3 1/3 innings Wednesday in a spot start against the Marlins.
Gossett was staked to a 4-0 lead after the top of the second inning, but that evaporated quickly. He gave up two runs in the bottom of the second, two more in the bottom of the third, and another three runs before exiting in the bottom of the fourth. It’ll probably be a while before Gossett gets another try in the Oakland rotation.
