Packers OT Don Barclay is listed questionable for Week 16 with an illness.
This news comes just one day after the Packers announced they were reshuffling their offensive line with Evan Dietrich-Smith replacing Jeff Saturday at center. If Barclay is unable to go, the Packers may need to swing T.J. Lang back to tackle, Dietrich-Smith back to guard and Saturday back to center. With Barclay at tackle, the Packers have rushed for 152, 140 and 113 yards in three division wins.
  • Patriots re-signed LS Danny Aiken to a one-year contract.
Aiken was scheduled to be a restricted free agent but is likely returning at the fourth-year veteran’s minimum. He hasn’t missed a game in three seasons.
  • FA Guard #68
Josh LeRibeus will remain the Redskins’ starting center this week.
Washington signed Brian de la Puente earlier in the week after placing Kory Lichtensteiger on injured reserve-designated to return, but de la Puente is not ready to start. LeRibeus was not guaranteed to make the final roster out of training camp, and he has been a disaster in four appearances this season. De la Puente should replace him when he gets up to speed.
  • Patriots waived/released LS Danny Aiken, LB Ja’Gared Davis, S Kanorris Davis, DB Daxton Swanson, S Shamiel Gary, DL Eathyn Manumaleuna, OL Chris Martin, LB Taylor McCuller and DL L.T. Tuipulotu.
Rob Ninkovich is now the only long snapper on the Patriots’ 53-man roster. A move will likely be made some time in the next 48 hours.
  • Patriots re-signed LS Danny Aiken and LB Chris White.
Aiken was waived on Saturday as the Patriots did some roster maneuvering. He’s now back for his fourth season as the team’s long snapper.
  • Patriots claimed LS Danny Aiken off waivers from the Bills.
Aiken will take the place of James Dearth, who was released Sunday. The Pats are still trying to find a long snapper after losing Lonnie Paxton two years ago to the Broncos.
