The Colts, Texans, Raiders, and Dolphins are among teams that have shown interest in free agent S Da’Norris Searcy.
This sounds like an agent-driven report, but Searcy should have little trouble landing a multi-year deal coming off a strong season in Buffalo. Searcy is Rotoworld’s No. 10 available safety.

    Panthers released SS Da’Norris Searcy.
Carolina also waived OT Isaiah Battle. Searcy signed a two-year deal last March, but he only managed two games in Carolina before landing on injured reserve with a concussion -- he suffered two in a one-month span. It is possible the 30-year-old plans to call it a career.

Panthers SS Da’Norris Searcy (concussion) is targeting a Week 14 return.
Searcy got in some practice reps this week but isn’t ready to return. Barring setbacks, he should be back for Week 14. Searcy will add depth to a Panthers secondary that’s been struggling the last few games.

Panthers placed SS Da’Norris Searcy (concussion) on injured reserve.
Searcy suffered two concussions in the last month. He’ll miss at least eight weeks on IR but could be done for the year. The Panthers are left with Colin Jones and rookie Rashaan Gaulden opposite Mike Adams.

According to WGR 550 Buffalo, the Bills are interested in re-signing free agent SS Bryan Scott.
The two sides have engaged in ''recent contract talks’’ according to Scott’s agent, and are expected to have a deal in place before March 13. Scott has been a rotational safety each of the last five seasons in Buffalo and is likely to return on a one- or two-year contract.
  • FA Defensive Back #21
Bills SS George Wilson (neck) is expected to miss a third straight game this week.
“I’m getting less optimistic by the day,” coach Chan Gailey said. Rookie Da’Norris Searcy has flashed as a fill-in, but Wilson is one of the premier run-support safeties in the NFL. His absence is another piece of good news for Chris Johnson.
  • FA Wide Receiver #13
The Bills have ruled out WR Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder), SS George Wilson (neck), and K Rian Lindell (shoulder) for Week 12 against the Jets.
Recently promoted Kamar Aiken is expected to dress as the No. 5 receiver behind Brad Smith and Ruvell Martin. Still learning the offense, Derek Hagan is believed to be sixth on the depth chart. Rookie Da’Norris Searcy racked up a team-high 11 tackles starting in place of Wilson last week.

Bills FS Jairus Byrd sustained a hip pointer in the Week 4 loss to the Patriots.
The Bills gave no details immediately following the game. Through four weeks, Byrd was on the IDP radar with 24 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles and one pass breakup. His backup is 2011 fourth-rounder Da’Norris Searcy.
  • FA Defensive Back #21
Bills SS George Wilson is now playing in a rotation with Da’Norris Searcy.
Wilson finished with five tackles in Sunday’s loss to the Texans while Searcy had three. “I wasn’t banged up at all,” the captain said. “You have to talk to the coaching staff on the rotation.” Wilson had 48 tackles in the first seven games of the year, but his IDP value is decimated as a part-time player.

The Bills’ website mentions third-year S Da’Norris Searcy as a potential in-house option to replace George Wilson at strong safety.
Searcy, a 2011 fourth-round pick out of UNC, operated as Buffalo’s third safety behind Wilson and Jairus Byrd last season. He’s someone for IDP owners to keep close tabs on this spring and summer. Searcy, 24, was an impact run defender and didn’t embarrass himself in pass coverage, also forcing two fumbles.
