Appalachian State DE Demetrius Taylor was named the Bronco Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in ASU’s thrilling 34-31 victory over North Carolina.

To say Taylor (6'1/260) had a good game would be a drastic understatement. He became the first FBS player since the 1990’s to record two forced fumbles, 2.5 sacks and a fumble return for a touchdown in the same game. Lindy’s also named Taylor as their Defensive Player of the Week and as a weekly winner he was added to the Bronco Nagurski watch list. App. St. hosts Coastal Carolina this Saturday.
