    Titans signed TE Deon Yelder.
The Chiefs nontendered Yelder, who appeared in 14 games and played 18% of snaps last year, this offseason. Yelder signed with Washington in May but was released before the start of training camp last month. The special teamer and in-line blocker will compete with Luke Stocker and Tommy Hudson for a roster spot in Tennessee.

  • FA Tight End #81
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Chiefs will not tender TE Deon Yelder.
This leaves the Chiefs no tight ends on the roster after Travis Kelce, excluding reserve/future contracts. Nick Keizer is an exclusive rights free agent but the team has yet to pick up his contract and Yelder will be testing free agency. Ricky Seals-Jones, the only other Chiefs TE with a target in 2020, was released before the end of the season. Even if the Chiefs sign Keizer or Yelder in free agency, expect them to add extra depth at the position this offseason.

  • FA Tight End #81
Chief TE Deon Yelder has been sidelined with an ankle injury.
Yelder had been running behind Travis Kelce before going down. He’ll likely sit the rest of the preseason and looks doubtful for Week 1. Blake Bell should open the season as Kansas City’s No. 2 tight end.
